PS 82Q's Dance Company: PS 82Q's Dance Company is comprised of 52 students from Grades 2 thru 5 who are interested in developing their dance technique and performing. Students dedicate half of their lunch time and after-school hours to rehearsals in preparation for our December and March Show. This year in our December show our 4th and 5th Grade dancers will be performing a lyrical piece to Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide." For our March Dance Company performance our theme will be "Music and Dance of the World." Dancers are working hard at learning Bhangra, African, Chinese Ribbon and Latin Dances.

 

Disney Musical in Schools: Our school is so proud to share that we were selected to participate in "Disney Musicals in Schools." This programs aim is create a sustainable musical theater program in elementary schools by teaching a core team of teachers and students about the fundamentals of a musical theater performance: Singing, Dancing and Acting. This year we will be performing Disney's "Lion King" at our school and on Broadway as a part of the programs school share event.
